In 2018, I began my journey as a student in the Doctoral Program in Education with a concentration in Organizational Leadership. It was a challenging process, but upon completing my doctorate in 2021, a world of opportunities opened up for me. In my career with the City of Bayamón, the degree enabled me to rise through the ranks and attain the position of Public Safety Manager. Later, in 2025, I achieved the role of Executive Public Safety Officer for the City of Bayamón. Furthermore, in March 2025, I was appointed by the Governor of Puerto Rico as the next Commissioner of the Puerto Rico Bureau for Emergency Management and Disaster Administration. Completing my doctoral studies at Nova Southeastern University equipped and prepared me to face a demanding work environment, providing me with the necessary skills to compete and excel professionally.

Thanks to the bilingual program of the Fischler College of Education and School of Criminal Justice, I will have a second professional opportunity that is worthy, generous and noble.
